Villa.Sphere.Ovest was designed by Düsseldorf-born German architect Marc Mark, owner of Innsbruck-based architecture firm ATP sphere. Mr. Mark has won numerous national and international awards and competitions throughout his career.
It is the exposed location on the slope that is characteristic of the parcel of land occupied by the villa. The architectural concept of the villa is aimed at highlighting its location.
The entire building looks as if it had just landed or been deposited there. The location and house experience a particular tension as seemingly different approaches are deliberately rendered tangible. Classic sequences in function and layout are clearly visible. The formal shape of the villa seems modern and fresh while the materials used allow for an insight into the history of construction at Lake Garda. The transition of the main structure takes into account the topography; the use of outdoor facilities is limited to the built terraces directly connected to the rooms of the house.
In order to maintain the character of the olive grove, no topographic changes have been made. The building has been developed through the underground car park, stairs and elevator. Development through the underground car park, which provides space for six vehicles, is staged through the source of light from above.
The guest area is on the way to the upper floors.
The central feature of the main floor of the villa are the terrace landscape and generously designed swimming pool. The adjacent leisure area features the latest work-out equipment. The steam bath and sauna form the luxurious wellness landscape. This ensemble is framed by the elaborate common areas for dining and living. The villa boasts a breath-taking view of Lake Garda and its fascinating surroundings.
The master bedroom and four other bedrooms – each with its own separate bathroom – offer exclusive living space for up to 10 persons, which is second to none.
